I received quite the mixed response in regards of the new texting platform, so I just wanted to explain a few things as everyone's response is completely understandable. 

First off, yes the Word of God is free and it should absolutely always stay free. The purpose of this platform was to help those who struggle with mental health, those who struggle diving into the Word and need an extra push or those who just want extra faith based content.

When I started this, I had no expectations. The community grew unexpectedly quick and I was absolutely loving the opportunity that God presented me. Unfortunately as the community grew, the billing structure changed.

I was paying out of pocket $1,200 a month (which was already tough) until we surpassed 20k members. I was informed the billing would change to $.017 per text which equates to $300-$400 per text. If I were to post everyday, the cost would be $15,000-$20,000 per month. I unfortunately cannot afford this. I was accepting donations; however, I was barely receiving $1,000 a month from this and received a lot of negative backlash for this.

I said my fair wells enjoying the opportunity that God had for me, when a company reached out to me offering to pay for these fees if they implemented a paywall. I truly am praying that this will open up opportunities to open a new free texting platform as it should be. If this opportunity opens up, I will reach out to everyone to inform them of this.

Secondly, this community is something I care about so much and I truly believe what we were building had such a strong purpose and it felt so fulfilling. I know how it is when struggling with mental health and this was something that even helped myself. It was so hard for me to think that I had to say goodbye to this; but it makes me happy that it can continue in some light. I have received texts that what I was doing has saved them from suicide, helped them in dark times, calmed their anxiety and so much more. If you know me, you know how much I care for God's people - so this meant everything to me. 

I want to conclude by saying I love you all and I'm always praying for everyone in this community. I pray that God directs me to more opportunities so that I can continue something similar for free.
